Modern Reef Complete Reef Food (CRF) Guide

Our philosophy is to have as low products as possible to keep a colorful and thriving reef aquarium using a simple method. Therefore we have created two products with all the other required ingredients and components that can’t combine with the four canisters of RKS (Reef Keeping System). Complete Reef Food and Polypop contain the other ingredients and components needed to complete Akil’s proportional consumption reef-keeping system like some amino acids, micronutrients, fatty acids, vitamins, liquid reef food, solid reef food, etc. The dosage is calculated based on the RKS (Reef Keeping System) to avoid overdosing and keep a well-balanced proportional consumption reef keeping system. You will exactly provide what your system needs by proportion based on alkalinity (KH) and Calcium (Ca) daily consumption. Since the dosage will depend on alkalinity (KH) and Calcium (Ca) consumption, this will allow the precise dosage calculation required for the actual size and number of corals in a reef aquarium. Your reef aquarium won’t need any other 3rd product tagged for coloration, health, or growth of corals.

In this guide, you will find information, dosage, and dosing calculators for Complete Reef Food (CRF). For Polypop (PP) guide, please find it in our “guides section.”

Complete Reef Food (CRF)

Complete Reef Food is part of our promotional consumption reef-keeping system. A complete reef food for the entire modern reef aquarium inhabitants like micro-organisms, symbiotic bacteria, filter feeders, and corals both directly and indirectly.

  • Improves vitality and immune system of all inhabitants in the reef aquarium
  • Boosts coral growth and coloration
  • Contains both liquid and solid food
  • Assist in creating a diverse microorganism reef environment
  • Contains amino acids, vitamins, fatty acids, and micronutrients by proportion
  • Helps fix the cause of the “Greening Effect” leading to better yellow/orange pigments

Complete Reef Food with Modern Reef “Proportional Consumption RKS”

Complete Reef Food is primarily designed to be used with our "Proportional Consumption RKF" for best results as they complement each other in one method.

Dosage
Shake vigorously! dose 0.02 ml for the classic RKS or 0.04 ml for the 7.7x per 1 ml of the Base CAL solution daily dosage. Preferably at night time.

The formula would be:
(Base CAL daily dosage) x 0.02 = CRF daily dosage for the Blue Classic RKS
(Base CAL daily dosage) x 0.04 = CRF daily dosage for the Black 7.7x RKS

Complete Reef Food with Modern Reef “Proportional Consumption RKS” and “ONE-4Reef”

If you are using the “Proportional Consumption RKF” with "ONE-4Reef" as a fixed dosage or saving mode, CRF must be also used to complete the method.

Dosage
Shake vigorously! Dose 0.02 ml per every 1 ml of the total sum of Base CAL and ONE-4Reef dosages daily.

The formula would be:
[(Base CAL daily dosage) + (ONE-4Reef daily dosage)] x 0.02 = CRF daily dosage for the Blue Classic RKS
[(Base CAL daily dosage) + (ONE-4Reef daily dosage)] x 0.04 = CRF daily dosage for the Black 7.7x RKS

Complete Reef Food with Modern Reef “ONE-4Reef”

Although the "ONE-4Reef" is not part of our proportional consumption reef-keeping system, it's a very similar formula but in organic form. Therefore, if you use "ONE-4Reef" alone as a base maintenance reef-keeping system, you can improve your reef aquarium with CRF.

Dosage
Shake vigorously! Dose 0.02 ml per 1 ml of the ONE-4Reef daily dosage.

The formula would be:
(ONE-4Reef daily dosage) x 0.02 = CRF daily dosage

Complete Reef Food with other methods

CRF can be used in reef aquariums with other basic reef-keeping methods like other Balling systems or calcium reactors. Results may not be as good as using it with our "RKS" system because they complement each other, but significant improvements, in general, can be achieved.

Dosage
Shake vigorously! Dose 0.15 ml per 100 liters for medium stocked reef aquariums or 0.30 ml per 100 liters for heavily stocked reef aquariums.
